Masala Chaie's Head Chef, Johnny, with over twenty years experience including top restaurants in Calcutta, is the hand behind the blend of spices unique to Masala Chaie. Johnny has the ability to create mouth-watering dishes using only a few select ingredients. The Masala Chaie name comes from a cross between the spice garam masala and the popular Indian drink, chai. Our first branch opened on 15th October 2006 in Akasaka in the centre of Tokyo. As the clientele swelled, so has our menu, starting with only 15 items, now, including different order types, the list is well over double that figure. |
